August 19, 2025 - The countdown has begun—tour year is here, and we couldn’t be more excited! From June 21 to July 1, 2026, the PACO Senior Orchestra, joined by select Sinfonia students, will set off on an 11-day journey to Leipzig, Dresden, Prague, and Vienna. These cities are not only rich in history and culture but also at the very heart of the classical music tradition. Together, our musicians will bring the PACO spirit of collaboration, community, and artistry to audiences across Central Europe.
For PACO, touring isn’t just about performing abroad—it’s about connecting through music. Every three years, the Senior Orchestra has the opportunity to share its music with the wider world. Along the way, our students experience new cultures, form lifelong memories with their peers, and join in a legacy that stretches back over half a century.
That tradition began in 1968, when PACO took its very first international tour to Jamaica. Since then, PACO musicians have traveled across the globe, receiving invitations to perform in world-renowned concert halls and international festivals. Over the decades, the orchestra has appeared in Australia (1988), the USSR and Finland (1990), China and South Korea (1994), and in major cities throughout Europe and North America.
In more recent years, PACO has brought its music to Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Leipzig, Potsdam, and Berlin. In 2023, the Senior Orchestra toured Sicily and mainland Italy, sharing unforgettable concerts and warm exchanges with local audiences. PACO’s music-making has also reached England, the Pacific Northwest, Vancouver, and the East Coast, highlighted by a memorable performance at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City.
And between these international engagements, PACO has continued to travel on shorter domestic tours, spreading the joy of chamber orchestra playing across the United States.
Now, as we look ahead to 2026, our students are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime. Traveling together, performing in historic venues, and immersing themselves in the cultures of Leipzig, Dresden, Prague, and Vienna, they will carry PACO’s legacy into its next chapter.
