"Without music, life would be a mistake" Goethe

And who are we to argue with the great German writer and philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe? But I would also argue the reverse: without life, music is not worth a darn! It takes life - energy, enthusiasm, skill, dedication, and experience - to make music, which in turn bestows beauty, excitement, challenge, and satisfaction upon its performers and listeners. The 125 extraordinary young musicians that comprise PACO's five orchestras know this well; it is what keeps them in their seats, pulling horsehair across beautifully carved pieces of wood, memorizing Mozart or tuning Tchaikovsky.

Music is slowly but surely becoming indispensable in all of their lives; a gift that will follow them in their journey through this perilous and beautiful world.
